William (Bill) Heffernan

Formerly of Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny

Bill passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2024 with his dearly loved and heartbroken family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Rose. Predeceased also by his granddaughter Emily, his brothers Michael, Paddy, Jimmy and John, by his sisters Biddy and Nellie and sister-in-law Peggy Brennan.

A devoted father to Bidette, Andrew, Maria, Michael, Kevin, Peter, Liam, Raymond and Nicola. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters and sons, sister Mary and brother Peter, treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, the extended Heffernan and Holden family, great neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) on Thursday, November 21 from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bill on Friday, November 22 at 11 a.m. at St Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road (H91YA30). Mass will be live streamed (https://www.mcn.live/camera/st-josephs-church-galway) .

Following Mass, Bill will be laid to rest in 'Realt na Mara', cemetery, Baile na hAbhann, Furbo (H91 NY09).
