Hughes, William David, Enniscoffey, Gaybrook, Mullingar, formerly of Easkey, Co. Sligo and Lucan, Dublin 22. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Bethany House Nursing Home, Tyrellspass on 20th January 2026.

Predeceased by his parents Helen and James, wife Romaine, brothers Fred and Karl, sister Helen. William will be very sadly missed by his loving daughters Melaine (Fox) and Lesley (Fuscardi), son David, sister Rosemary (Greenan), sons-in-law David and Lorenzo, daughter-in-law Louise, grandchildren Gabrielle, Jamie, Gianni, Romano, Callum and Ethan, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Grennan’s Funeral Home, Milltownpass, Eircode N91 VX4W on Friday 23rd January from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday 24th January to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, Eircode H12 RF78 for cremation, arriving at 3.30pm approx.

The family wish to express their gratitude to the Staff of Bethany House Nursing Home and Dr. Clyne for their care of William.
