William (Bill) Murphy

William Murphy (Bill) passed away peacefully on January 7th 2022, surrounded by his family, in the loving and tender care of staff at St. Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn, loving and much adored father of, Kevin, Brendan, Meghan, Kale, Garrith and the late Billy. Father in law of Noreen.  A wonderful and cherished grandfather to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by Trina and Caroline and his brothers-in-law George and Sean Vail. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, kind neighbours and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing in Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Sunday, Jan. 9th, from 6.30pm followed by a Rosary at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Monday, Jan. 10th, at 12noon in St. Joseph’s Church, Coomhola (due to technical difficulties it will not be possible to live stream; a prerecording of the requiem Mass will be available from 4pm at corklivestream.com/funerals) followed by burial in Kilmacomogue Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital.

Following Government and HSE guidelines, please wear a face mask if attending Funeral Home or the Requiem Mass and please refrain from shaking hands with family members.
