William (Billy) Fortune

Fortune, Church View, Arklow and formerly of Rock Bog, Arklow, Co. Wicklow 6th July 2024, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University, Dublin, in the loving care of the staff and his family. William (Billy) beloved husband of Madge (née Sapwell) and loving father of Johnny, David, Rose, Donna and Cara, treasured brother of Pat, Thomas, Bernadette, Chrissie, Marie, Theresa, Rosie, the late Molly & Bridie. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law John, Brendan and Billy, daughters-in-law Margaret and Lynda, grandchildren Marie, Joe, David, Colm, Rachel, Stephen, Conor, Vicky, Josh, Megan and Stephanie, great grandchildren Aaron, Niamh, Éabha and Ava-Grace, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Billy will be reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home, Arklow (Y14 PT80) on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm. A celebration of Billy’s life will take place in Hudson’s Funeral Home on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by cremation service at 3.15pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98)
