The death has occurred of
William (Billy) Shannon
SHANNON (Gurteenakilla, Ballydehob): on December 29th 2025 peacefully in the presence of his loving family at Cork University Hospital. WILLIAM (Billy) beloved husband of Essie, loving father of Robert, Ann and John. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, Christopher, grandchildren Dyane, Claire, Stephen, Sarah, Jamie, Veola, Daniel, Liam and Finley, great-grandchildren Rylan, Cayson and Nora, daughter-in-law Shirley, son-in-law Trevor, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in St. Matthias Church, Ballydehob on Thursday, January 1st 2026 from 12.30pm followed by Service at 2.30pm. This will be available for viewing same evening here. Funeral afterwards in the adjoining Church Yard.
