William (Billy) Shortall

Shortall (Billy) William (7th January 2026) late of Clondalkin and formerly of Ballinguile, Rathdangan, Co Wicklow, (peacefully after a short illness) in the wonderful care of staff at Tallaght University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Esther and devoted dad of Eilish, Joan, Jackie, Eileen, Willie, Sandra, Valerie and John, stepdad of Mandy, Philip and Mary. William will be deeply missed by his wife, children, stepchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren especially Tilly, brother Pat, sister Wessie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Sunday from 1pm to 3pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clondalkin Village followed by burial in Newcastle Cemetery arriving at approximately 1pm.
