Peacefully at home on January 29th, 2026, surrounded by his devoted and loving family, after a long illness borne with great strength, dignity and courage.

Billy, dearly beloved and devoted husband of Anne (née O’Sullivan).
A much loved and proud father of Gillian, Darren, Susan, Kieran and Louise.

A cherished and adored grandfather of Ciara, Killian, Lucy, Sophie, Conor, Ryan, Matthew, Callum, Aoife, James, Óran, Saoirse and Aoibhinn, each of whom brought him great joy and pride.

Billy will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife, sons and daughters, sons-in-law Michael, Tom and Edward, daughters-in-law Heidí and Kate, his treasured grandchildren, brothers Ned, Pat and John, sisters Eliz, Helen and Maria, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends who meant so much to him.

The family wish to express their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to Billy’s wonderful carer Lisa, Dr. Ranga and staff of Carrigtwohill McAuley Day Care Centre for their exceptional kindness, compassion, care and support shown to Billy and his family. Your help, comfort and dedication meant so much during a very difficult time.

May Billy Rest in Peace.

Billy will repose in O’Farrell’s Funeral Home, Riverside Way, Midleton, P25 X382, on Friday 30th January from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.

Reception into St. John the Baptist Church, Lisgoold, on Saturday 31st January for 11.30am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Templenacarriga Cemetery.
