William John (Billy) HUGHES

It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of William John Hughes, Billy, Coolistigue, Clonlara, Co. Clare, who passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on 10th January 2026.

Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Stephen, Claire, Áine and Caitríona.

Deeply regretted by his wife, children, sisters Marion and Teresa, brother Jim, and extended family. Billy was a kind and intelligent man, and a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, neighbours and friends.

May Billy's gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Billy will repose in Mc Mahon's funeral home Blackwater on Thursday, 15th January from 6pm to 7:30pm. Arriving for funeral Mass in St. Senan's Church, Clonlara on Friday, 16th January at 12 noon followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.
