William Joseph STACK

William Joseph Stack – 25th Nov 1953 - 22nd August 2024. Beloved son of Mary Agnes Reidy and Lee Stack of Ardagh & Carrigkerry, Co. Limerick - deeply missed by his brothers Robert and Joe, his sister Mary, niece, cousins and friends. My brother Bill Stack would have been 71 years old this coming November 2024.

Bill was a “force” as a teenager and young man – full of energy, intelligence and positive thinking. He was always ready for ‘a joke and a laugh’. He was a wonderful athlete, like his Dad before him – “rugby” was his sport, he was ‘fast’ and passionate and always up for another match. He was Captain of the Rugby team at Palmerston Rugby Club for many years (De La Salle Palmerston FC).

But as they say: it's the small things and that thing that Ken Doherty's ma told him: "It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice" and Bill was all that, and genuine.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 28th August, at 10am in St. Kevin's Church, Harrington Street followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle West.(estimated to arrive 2pm ).
