William (Liam) McCahey

McCahey, William (Liam) former Superintendent, An Garda Síochána, Blackrock Co. Dublin and formerly Castleshane Co. Monaghan. Peacefully on 29th December, 2024, comforted by his loving wife and daughters in St. Vincents University Hospital.

Deeply loved and missed by his beloved wife Veronica, adored daughters Fiona and Ciara, sons-in-law Martin and Alan, and treasured grandchildren Rosalind, William and Eleanor. Deeply regretted by the McCahey and O'Hare families, his former colleagues and his many friends.

Liam will repose in Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Blackrock (A94 X308) on Friday 3rd January from 4pm – 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock on Saturday 4th January at 11am, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park.
