Willie passed away peacefully in Gloucester Royal Hospital on the morning of Sunday 7th December 2025.

He is predeceased by his siblings Tom Murphy, Mick Murphy, Josie Mai O'Neill, Jack Murphy and Margaret O'Keefe.

Willie will be sadly missed by his wife Mai-Hoa Murphy, his children Tara, David, Erin and Liam Murphy, grandchildren, nephews Eamon, David and Michael O'Neill and niece Joanne Ainsworth and brother in law John O'Keefe.

Willie was cremated on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 at 2.30pm in Willow Chapel Cheltenham crematorium.

A requiem mass is taking place at St. Ailbe's Church, Emly, Co. Tipperary, this Wednesday (8th April 2026) at 11.30am, burial of his ashes afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
