William Stephen Hennessy

William Stephen Hennessy,

formerly Garryarthur, passed away peacefully on February 3rd 2026 in the presence of his loving family

and in the care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Cork University Hospital.

Stephen is now reunited with his beloved wife Mary (nee Moynihan), his parents James and Johanna, brothers; Patrick, Mikey Jo and Johnny and his sister Eileen.

He was much loved and is sadly missed by his loving sons and daughters; Helen, Jimmy, Paddy, Valerie, Tina, Stephen and Noel, his brothers; Seamus and Brendan, sisters Hannah and Mary, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

Stephen will repose at his family home, Ballyorgan Kilfinane, Co Limerick Eircode V35N566 on Friday evening, February 6th from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Reception into St Joseph's Church, Ballyorgan, Eircode V35W827 for Requiem Mass at 11am on Saturday morning, February 7th 2026.

Burial immediately afterwards in Glenroe cemetery.
