William (Willie) Murtagh

It is with deep sadness that we announce the departure of William (Willie) Murtagh, Clondalever, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath, July 13th, 2024.

Willie passed away suddenly but peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is deeply missed and will be forever lovingly remembered by his devoted wife and best friend Mary, his children Billy, Maria (Tallon), Elaine (Byrne), Pauline and Jean (O'Donovan). His departure is deeply felt by his loving sisters Peggy, Lilly (Murtagh), Therese (Smyth), his ten cherished grandchildren, daughter-in-law Aileen, sons-in-law Gregory, Eoin and Jim, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his extended family, many friends and wonderful neighbours. We remember fondly his family who have predeceased him, his brother Joe and his sisters Nancy Higgins, Jane Daly, Mary Murtagh and Dell Shaw.

Reposing at his residence (Eircode N91 TK66) on Monday July 15th from 3pm to 6pm. Removal arriving at the Church of the Assumption, Taghmon (Eircode N91 XY66) on Monday July 15th at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday July 16th at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
