William (Willie) Somers

William 'Willie' passed away peacefully on March 23rd 2025 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Moylough Co Galway. Willie, beloved husband,father,grandad and great-grandad, will be deeply mourned by his loving wife Mary, his sons Michael Somers (Moylough), and Sean Somers (Ballinamore Bridge) his daughters Brid Duggan (Perth Australia), Anne-Marie Traynor (Ballygar) He will be greatly missed by sons-in law Donal and Damien, daughters-in-law Jackie and Selena, his sister in-law Breege, his 12 grandchildren Karen,Hayleigh, Alan, Sean Og, Amy, Reece, Aaron, Cian, Avena, Darragh, Megan, Bronagh and his 2 great-grandchildren Ava and Lucina.

Predeceased by his mother and father, Nora and Michael, brothers Tom, Joe and John, sisters Annie and Mary.

Willie will repose at Gilmore's Funeral Home (Moylough) on Wednesday 26th March from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 27th March at 11am in St Patrick's Church, Moylough (H53V585). Burial afterwards in Moylough Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on the St Patrick's Church webcam.
