Willie (Bill) Burke

Sydney, Australia and formerly of St. Cleran’s, Craughwell, Co. Galway.

The Burke family sadly announces the passing of Willie (Bill) Burke, who passed away peacefully in Sydney, Australia. Originally from St. Cleran’s, Craughwell, Willie is deeply mourned by his beloved wife Roberta (Bobby), his loving children Brendan, Damien, Alex (Bernadette), and Elizabeth, and his cherished grandchildren Jackson, Henry, Jacob, Emily, Amelia, and Trishika.

He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Bridget, his brothers Anthony and Michael, and his sister Margaret. Willie is fondly remembered by his surviving siblings: Mary (Sydney), Bridget (Tralee, Kerry), and Christy (Knocknacarra, Galway), as well as his daughters-in-law Renee and Kathryn, son-in-law Sunny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, many cousins in Ireland and America, and a wide circle of friends both near and far.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am (local time) on Friday, 28th March at:
Our Lady of the Rosary, St Mary’s Catholic Church, NSW 2760.

A special Mass will also be offered in his memory at Kilconieron Church, Co. Galway, on Sunday, 30th March at 10am.
