Willie Hughes

Willie Hughes, Longford Hill, Mountbellew, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21st 2025 surrounded by his loving family under the wonderful care of the staff of Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Katie and Michael Hughes, his brothers Michael, John, Matt, Tom and Jim.

Willie will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, daughters Annemarie, Karen, Helena and Fionnuala, his sons Ciaran and Padraig, sons in law John, Damien, Cormac and James, daughters in law Kathy and Sharon, and his 16 adored grandchildren, his brother Paddy, brothers in law Fr. Pat Killilea, SSCC (Hawaii) and Johnny Killilea, sister in law Helen, his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Willie will repose at the Pastoral Centre (next to St. Mary's Church, Mountbellew) on Sunday February 23rd from 6pm to 8pm, with removal to his residence afterwards.

Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary's Church, Mountbellew on Monday at 2pm followed by burial in New Cemetery, Tuam road.
