Willie John Madden

MADDEN (Currihevern) Lislevane, on 4th September 2024, peacefully surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of the staff of Cork University Hospital, Willie John, husband of Mary (nee Griffin) happily married for 59 years, loving father of Eilis, Colm, Eleanor & Ken, brother of Jerh and Joseph and the late Paddy, Jimmy, Chrissy, Kitty, Joan, and Nan. Father-in-law of the late Norrie.

 

Deeply regretted by his daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Grainne and Trish, his adored grandchildren Jamie, Kate, Cameron, Ellen, Alex, Oisin, Olivia & Emma, brother Jerh and Joseph, sister-in-law Maura and Helen, nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and friends, including the extended Griffin families and his colleagues from Barryroe Co-Op.

Reposing at Holland’s Funeral Home (P72FY88), Friday, 6th of September, from 5pm to 8pm, followed by prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, 7th of September, in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Barryroe (P72T206), at 12pm (noon) followed by burial afterwards at Lislevane Cemetery.
