Willie RATH

Willie Rath of Tinryland, Carlow and formerly of Buckstown, Monaseed, Gorey, Co. Wexford, passed away suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on December 10th, 2025 at his home.

Beloved husband of Bridget, much loving father of James, Ann-Marie and David, adored grandfather of Abbie, Emma, Julia and Will, cherished brother of Tom, Sr. Basil (Kathy), Pat, John, Ann and the late Seamus and treasured father-in-law of Jenny.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many close friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) Carlow from 2pm on Monday, December 15th, concluding with Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in The Holy Family Church, Askea and will be followed by funeral afterwards to Monaseed Cemetery, Co Wexford (Y25 E544) for burial.
