The death has occurred of Winnifred (Winnie) McDonnell, (née Doherty) Cornboy, Carrowteigue, Ballina, Co Mayo peacefully in the loving care of the wonderful staff at Tí Aire Nursing Home, Belmullet on the 23rd of April 2020. Predeceased by her husband Anthony, her sisters Mary and Bridget, her brothers Paddy, Martin, Michael and Charlie. Beloved and precious mother of Michael, Mary, Christopher, Andrew, Charlie, Tony, Gerard and Bernadette. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters-in-law, her eleven grandchildren Karen, Laura, Deirdre, Lisa, Dara, Jack, Paddy, Joe, Sean, Grace and Rory, her great-granchildren Billy, Michael, and Katie, her nephews Daniel and Patrick Mc Hugh (USA), her special only niece Maura Ashe, (Kerry), extended family, good neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday the 26th of April at 12 noon in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Carrowteigue with burial immediately afterwards. Due to H.S.E guidelines regarding the Corona Virus (Covid 19), Winifred’s funeral is confined to family members only.The funeral mass will be available to view live via the following link: www.studiorove.ie/wmcdonnell/

A memorial Mass for the repose of Winifred’s soul will be held at a later date which will be announced in due course. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated by the family at this difficult time. Her family will be forever grateful to the staff of Tí Aire Nursing Home, for their cheerful and dedicated care during Winnie’s stay with them.
