The death has occurred of
WINSOME (CLARE) SCARRATT AYLETT
Aylett, Winsome (Clare) Scarratt, (Lauragh, Co. Kerry), on 1st June, 2021, passed away peacefully in the care of the nurses at Kenmare Community Hospital. Beloved mother of Jonathan, Holly and the late Deirdre; grandmother of Christopher, Rose, Ralph, Aidan and Anna-Clare; predeceased by her brother, Patrick Clare.
In 1975, following her Irish heritage, Clare moved to Tuosist from London and later, in 1995, to Lauragh, both parishes in Co. Kerry. Much of Clare’s time was spent celebrating the local landscape and community through her painting and short stories.
Sadly missed by her loving daughter, son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law (Moira), son-in-law (Peter), her neighbours and many friends at home and abroad.

A celebration of Clare’s life will take place at St Patrick’s Church, Kenmare on 3rd September held in accordance with Public Health guidelines.
Clare’s family would like to thank her wonderful carers without whose support and friendship she would not have been able to stay at home into her oldest age.
