Alastair Sutherland

 Alastair Sutherland

Main Street, Ballydehob, Cork

We, the family of the late Alastair Sutherland, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the kindness and support shown to Alastair during his final illness and to us over the past few weeks since his death.  The coronavirus restrictions prevented us from gathering together to celebrate Alastair's life as we would have wished, but we have been humbled by the many ways people have still found to express their love and support and to share treasured memories of their time spent in Alastair’s company. These have made our loss more bearable.

Alastair was an accomplished horseman, educator and coach who enjoyed nothing more than sharing his passion, experience and sense of mischief with those he met on his journey through life – whether that meeting was through horses, skiing, dancing, or simply sharing a pint and a story with someone in the pub.

Thank you for sharing your lives with Alastair, however long or short your aquaintance, and adding to the rich tapestry of his life.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends, family and colleagues from around the world, but he will live on in our shared memories so please continue to remember him often and smile.
