Pat & Mary, the son & daughter of the late Alec Byrne, wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them during their recent sad loss. Thanks to all who visited the funeral home, attended Pop’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, all who sent Mass cards & floral tributes, phoned or wrote with kind words of sympathy & all who donated generously to the Arklow Cancer Support Group in Pop’s memory.

To Paddy Bass, Pop's Best Man & loyal friend, thank you for a lifetime of friendship. 

Special thanks to the team at Bradshaw’s Lane Surgery & to the doctors, nurses & carers at St. Colmcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown for the wonderful care Pop received.

To Arklow Meals on Wheels & Arklow Home Help Service especially Marie Byrne for the kindness & care you gave to both Mam & Dad. This will never be forgotten & our entire family will be forever grateful to you.

Thanks to the priests of the Parish & especially to our Family's lifelong friend, Fr Liam Dunne.We thank you for your compassion & guidance to all of us throughout Pop’s illness & for celebrating such a beautiful & personal funeral Mass. Thanks also to Eddie McElheron & Rosarie Kinsella for your lovely music.

To all at Arklow Fire Brigade, Pop would have been so proud of the dignity & respect with which you accompanied him on his final journey.

Thanks to all at Darcy McGee’s for your hospitality after the funeral & to Sweeney’s Funeral Directors for their kindness & professionalism.

Pop’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 11th March, at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church.
