Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the late Angela McCormack, who died 17th May 2020, her beloved husband Sean, daughter Caroline, son Tony, son-in-law Bill, daughter-in-law Emer and families wish to thank all those who supported them over the past year and in Angela's final days.

A sincere thanks to those who contacted us by phone, sent beautifully written letters of sympathy, messages of condolence, Mass cards and floral arrangements. We know many of you would have liked to have attended Angela's funeral, but due to restrictions this was not possible. We are truly grateful to our relatives, neighbours and friends and took great comfort from both their presence outside our home and lining the route to the church.

We would like to acknowledge the care and kindness afforded to her by Dr. Martin, Nurse Theresa and staff at the Ré Nua Primary Care Centre, Athlone and her GP Dr. Mark McCormick. A sincere thank you to all the wonderful doctors and nursing staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital, for the care and campassion shown to Angela and our family.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Oliver Devine P.P. for his prayers and kind words and also to Fr. Deegan who celebrated Angela's funeral Mass. To Netta, thank you for all your help with the church. To all those who participated in the Mass, to the readers Alex, Caimin and Emily, to Danny, Caoimhe and Síofra for the lovely music and hymns, thank you.

A final word of thanks to Declan Rooney's Funeral Directors, for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. To Noel and all who helped with the grave, for preparing Angela's final place of rest, thank you. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

First year anniversary Mass for Angela will be celebrated in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Ballymore on Sunday May 16th at 11.30am. As church numbers are limited, online Masses will continue to be broadcast from Ballymore both on You Tube and the Parish Facebook page.

May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
