 Ann GLEASURE

Tralee, Kerry

Dervil, David, Ben and Killian, family of the late Ann Gleasure, Tralee wish to thank most sincerely all those who offered Masses, sent cards, letters, and messages of sympathy following Ann’s untimely death on 27th November 2024. We miss her everyday but know that she is also deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

We would like to thank the Palliative care team, nurses and staff at HDU in University Hospital Kerry who were so magnificent during those last difficult days. Thank you to Prof Murphy’s oncology team at Bons Secours Hospital, Cork who looked after Ann for nearly 3 years. Our gratitude to Pat and his team at All Care pharmacy in Mounthawk, Dr Ali and all the staff at Clounlaour Medical Centre, Tralee who were so caring and respectful , the public health nurses and the fabulous team of carers she and we were so grateful to have in the last few months.

We are also hugely indebted to Ann’s extended family of nieces and nephews, her neighbours, friends and former colleagues who brought her friendship and practical help when it was needed.

In accordance with Ann’s wishes, a private cremation took place at Island Crematorium, Cork, on 30th November 2024. It was also Ann's wish that her ashes were to be scattered on an outgoing tide near her home, and laid to rest with her late husband, Paddy O’Connor, at Rath Cemetery, Tralee. We were able to carry out this final wish in August 2025.
