 Anne Doherty
(née Murphy)

Dooey, Glencolmcille, Donegal

The husband and family of the late Anne Doherty, Lower Dooey, Glencolmcille, Co. Donegal who died on the 14th of January 2024 would like to thank all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss.

We extend our appreciation to Letterkenny University Hospital and a special word of thanks to the Palliative Care Team who supported us to fulfil Anne's wish to be cared for at home during her illness. Your dedication and compassion have not gone unnoticed, and we are very grateful for the care and support you provided.

A very special note of thanks to Killybegs Community Hospital for the kindness and support that they have shown our family over the past few months. We are truly grateful.

We owe a debt of gratitude to all our relatives, friends and neighbours for the countless acts of kindness, for the shared memories and the shoulders to lean on. Your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity will always be remembered and appreciated. We thank all those who attended the wake, cremation and funeral Mass, those who sent letters and cards of sympathy and those who left beautiful messages of condolences on RIP.ie. Also, to those who sent their apologies and couldn’t attend and joined via webcam or kept us in their thoughts and prayers.

We would like to especially thank Fr McAteer for celebrating the funeral Mass and Fr Gillespie for all the support, house visits and prayers. Thank you to Zara Montgomery for the beautiful church music and to Margaret Rose Cunningham for streamlining the funeral Mass.

Thank you to Micheal Leonard and Seamus Shovlin Funeral Directors for their support and guidance throughout.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deepest and most sincere appreciation.

No matter how life changes,

No matter what we do,

A special place within our hearts,

Will always be kept for you.

Much loved and sadly missed every day by your husband Jim, children Kenneth (Julie), Edel (Richard), Owen (Caitríona), Emer (Gavin) and Catherine (Stephen), grandchildren Aoife, Orin, Josh, Saorlaith, Leah and Jamie.
