Rest in Peace

We, Anne Duggan’s daughters Deirdre, Anne Marie, Aisling and Petrina, her grandchildren and extended family in Thurles and Newport would like to acknowledge and thank all those who sympathised and showed such incredible kindness and support during our recent sad loss. We greatly appreciate all those who called, sent cards, letters, flowers and messages of condolence online.  Thank you to those who travelled long distances to be with us, those who joined the guard of honour and lined the roadside on her final journey to the Church, to all who attended the funeral mass, in person and online and all who joined us at the graveyard, paying your respects while giving us comfort and support, we are so grateful to you all.

Our beloved mother was very lucky to spend her final years in the familiar surroundings of Ardeen, her life’s work of which she was very proud. It meant the world to us, her family that she was in the care of familiar and kind people who looked after her so well. We want to especially thank all the wonderful staff at Ardeen who cared for all her needs so generously.  The Golden Years Day Centre for the years of fun and entertainment that she enjoyed so very much. Her wonderful home carers, Dr Declan Lawless for his years of care and friendship and Mockler’s Pharmacy for their many, many years of service, efficiency, and support in and outside business hours.

Our sincere thanks to the Parish clergy, the sacristan, and Fr. Vincent Stapleton for making the funeral mass so special, Fr. Vincent’s kind words and beautiful sermon meant so much. Thank you to John O’Gorman Organist and Ann Commins Soloist for the exceptional music and singing, it was truly beautiful. To all who prepared and closed her final resting place, the grave. Thank you.

And finally, to Hugh Ryan Undertakers, whose professionalism, understanding, and guidance made a difficult time so much easier. Thank you!.

As it would be impossible to mention everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
