Kinvara, Galway / Sligo

Cloonasee, Kinvara, Co. Galway and late of Knappabeg House, Strandhill Road, Sligo.

Sunrise – 22/05/1952

Sunset – 28/07/2024.

As we continue to lovingly remember Ascinta after her sad passing, we her family wish to

sincerely thank all those who sympathised and supported us during this difficult period.

We have found immense comfort in the warm messages of condolence we received through

cards, letters, phone calls, text messages, floral tributes and on RIP.ie.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and oncology team who cared for Ascinta during

her recent short illness and to the staff of Our Lady of Knock Ward at The Galway Clinic

who were so kind to her in her final days.

A heartfelt thank you to all the people who helped, supported and comforted us throughout

the days of the funeral. Our sincere thanks to Canon Tommy Marrinan for the kindness he

extended to us during these days and for speaking so compassionately about our mother; to

Fr. Hugh Clifford and all at St. Colman’s church Kinvara for all they did to make the mass so

unique. Thanks to Sarah McGloughlin, Ann and Kevin Kinane, Jennifer Joyce, Barry Heaney, Aoife Dunne,

John Prendergast and Eileen Fleming for organising and providing the amazing music.

A special word of thanks to Ascinta’s great neighbours and friends for stewarding the traffic

and for preparing her final resting place with such care and attention. We were extremely

grateful to our family and friends for calling to our homes with food and refreshments. A

special thanks to our cousin Barry Kilroy for all his hard work and support during the days of

the funeral. Thanks to Mike Burke and staff at the Pier Head Kinvara for providing a lovely

meal afterwards. A final word of thanks to Sean Mullins and Shane Counihan of Mullins

Brothers Funeral Directors Gort for their empathy, kindness and professionalism in taking

care of Ascinta on her final journey.

“Finally to Ascinta, forever in our hearts, may your beautiful spirit endure and your

soul rest in peace”

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this

acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude. A Mass will be said for your

intentions.

Month's Mind Mass for Ascinta will take place on

Sunday September 8th at 12pm in St. Colman’s Church, Kinvara.
