Beesie (Bridget) Rodgers

Derries, Glenties, Co Donegal

who died 17th January 2026, aged 90 years.

 

We, the heartbroken family of the late Beesie Rodgers, wish to express our sincere thanks to our families, friends, neighbours and the wider community who offered us support in our recent bereavement.

 

To everyone who attended the wake and funeral, to those who sent mass cards, floral tributes and messages of sympathy, and to those who travelled long distances to be with us during those days we are so grateful to you all. A special word of thanks to all who brought food to our home, helped with the catering and assisted during the wake and the funeral.

 

We will be forever grateful to all that provided exceptional care to Beesie in her own home, we cannot express how much this has meant to us all.

 

Our thanks to Dr Evelyn McManus, Dr Cooke, Dr Ahmed andall the staff at the Glenbarra Medical Centre, Primary Care, O’Donnell’s Pharmacy and the staff of the Medical RehabUnit in Letterkenny University Hospital for their care, help and support over many years.

 

A special word of thanks to Fr Gerard Cunninham for ministering to Beesie’s spiritual welfare and for concelebrating Beesie’s memorable funeral mass, for his kindness and compassion over the years during his many visits with Beesie and for the fun and chats they shared.

 

We are most grateful to Deirdre O Malley for her beautiful singing and music and to all that enhanced the funeral mass, to Frank Mc Guinness, Undertaker & Shovelin’s Funeral Home, for their professionalism and their personal touch during this sad time.
Sincere thanks to Kieran Kennedy & all the staff at the Thatch for providing refreshments and support after Beesie’s funeral.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

 

Beesie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday 28th February 2026 at 6pm.
