We, Bernard's heartbroken partner James, parents Bernard (senior) and Mary, and brother, James, wish to acknowledge everyone who sympathised with us on our bereavement and who attended the wake, funeral and burial, especially those who travelled long distances.
We appreciate the numerous cards, messages, telephone calls, floral tributes, and donations to charity.
Special gratitude extends to Dr. Ward and staff, all medical staff in Our Lady of Lourdes, St. James's and St. Luke's Hospitals, Drogheda Public Health nurses and Drogheda Hospice Homecare Foundation. We are very grateful to Finlay undertakers, particularly Dara.
Special thanks are due to Bridget, Christine and Eugene, and we appreciate greatly the outstanding support from the McGuinness and Watters families.
Thanks to all our neighbours and friends, especially those in Meadowview and Roodstown. The support shown by the staff of Our Lady’s College, Drogheda was gratefully received.
We also thank celebrant Rev. Fr. Anselm, sacristan Evelyn, vocalist Ruth Kelly, accompanist David Leddy, and all participants in Bernard’s requiem mass.
The cooperation of An Garda Síochána was much appreciated.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement serves to show our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Rest in peace Bernard.
