Betty (Bridget) HUGHES

 Betty (Bridget) HUGHES
(née Hughes)

Castleknock, Dublin

HUGHES (Betty, Bridget) (Carpenterstown, Castleknock) - Betty’s children, Karen and Eddie, together with her grandchildren, Zoe Tamara and Thomas, son in Law John, Eddie’s Fiancee Suzanne, and extended family, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us following our recent sad loss.

To those who visited the funeral home; attended the removal and funeral service; telephoned, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. Special thanks to our own extended family & friends who provided emotional and practical support, we are very grateful for your friendship and love.

Thank you to Fr Kieran Coughlan of Castleknock Parish and all those who participated in the service. To Cunningham Funeral Directors for their professionalism and compassion and who made the difficult task of funeral arrangements as painless as possible, and to the management and staff of the 12th Lock Hotel for their hospitality following the funeral.

A very special word of thanks to the management and staff of Parke House Nursing Home, Kilcock, for their love, care and attention to mum these past two years. We will be forever grateful.  Thank you also for the kindness shown to us and allowing us to stay with mum during her final days.

A wonderful mother, woman and aid,

One who was better God never made;

A wonderful worker, so loyal and true,

One in a million, that mother was you.

Just in your judgment, always right;

Honest and liberal, ever upright;

Loved by your friends and all whom you knew

Our wonderful mother, that mother was you.

Betty’s Months Mind Mass will take place in The Church of Our Lady, Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Saturday, 6th April, at 6:00pm.
