 Betty Kavanagh

Arklow, Wicklow

Betty’s family Michele, Robert, Clare and Dara along with our extended family wish to express our sincerest thanks for the support and kindness shown to us throughout Mam’s illness, at the time of her funeral and during the following weeks.  Thank you to everyone who came from near and far to visit us at the funeral home and to attend Mam’s funeral Mass and burial.  Thank you to those who called, sent cards, letters and texts, those who shared words of comfort and happy memories online and all those who sent flowers.

Our most sincere thanks to Fr. Ó’Cochláin for offering prayers at the removal and celebrating the Funeral Mass.  Thank you to Karla Tracey and Bridget Kenny for ensuring that Mam’s final hymns were performed so beautifully.

Our most sincere thanks to the staff at Asgard Lodge Nursing Home, who took great care of Mam right to the end of her life on Tuesday morning, 25.3.25.  We were deeply touched by the mark of respect shown by the local businesses on the day.

Thank you to the management and staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, also to Helena and all the team at Hudson Funeral Directors, who ensured a very dignified, respectful funeral with a deeply religious theme. Our sincere thanks to Jason and Tom for preparing Mam’s final resting place.

To our extended families, colleagues, neighbours and friends, your continued support and kindness are much appreciated and will never be forgotten.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually the holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Mam’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 26th April at 6.30pm in The Church of Saints Mary & Peter, Arklow.  Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via Webcam | Arklow Parish | Diocese of Dublin
