Breda McArdle

 Breda McArdle
(née Martin)

Tullynaskeagh West, Drumconrath Road, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The family of the late Breda McArdle of Tullynaskeagh, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan who died on Ascension Thursday, 26th May 2022, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, removal, funeral Mass and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. Thanks to all who prayed, lit candles, had Mass offered and sent Mass cards. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations to Carrick Cancer, we are truly grateful.

Thanks to all the priests and deacons who visited Breda in her short illness and attended her wake, especially Bishop Larry Duffy. For the evening Mass and receiving of the remains, thanks to Fr. Michael Jordan, Fr. Gerry Campbell, Fr. Paul Montague and Lisa Russell for the liturgical music. A special word of thanks to Fr. Michael Jordan, Fr. Finian Connaughton, and Fr. Philip Crowe who concelebrated Breda's funeral Mass and to Mary Crowley for the sacred music.

Thank you to the doctors, public health nurse, palliative care nurses, night nurses and carers who looked after Breda during her short illness.

We greatly appreciate all those who brought food and made tea & coffee for the mourners during the wake. Thank you to those who managed the parking and flow of traffic during the wake and funeral. Our thanks also, to the Monaghan Prayer group for their guard of honour.

We would like to sincerely thank Deery's funeral directors for their invaluable guidance along with their dignified and respectful manner in handling the arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Breda McArdle will be held on the feast day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Friday 24th June, at 7pm in St. Enda’s Church, Killanny.

All Welcome.
