Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

02 February 2022

As we lovingly remember Brenda on the first anniversary of her passing, Denis, Jennifer, Donncha, Laura, Linda along with her grandchildren Shay, Lucas, Noah, Lilly and Tess, sisters, brothers, nephews and nieces wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us on our heart-breaking loss.

Due to Covid health restrictions we were unable to meet all our family, friends and neighbours but we were incredibly moved by the huge volume of letters, mass and sympathy cards, floral tributes, perpetual enrolments, telephone calls and online condolences. They brought great comfort to us and were a testament to how loved Brenda was.

To all our family, neighbours and friends who were with us outside our home to send Brenda on her final journey, who joined us online and to those of you who stood outside the church and at the cemetery we were so very touched and thank you for your support.

Heartfelt and sincere thanks to all of the nurses and staff at the CUH, the community nurses from St Marys Health campus, the pallative care nurses from Marymount  and in particular the nursing support from the Irish Cancer Society and all who looked after Brenda during her illness and were so kind and supportive to both Brenda and our family.

To Fr. Greg Howard for the very sincere and thoughtful funeral mass and although restricted due to Covid was a very beautiful and fitting tribute to Brenda. A special thank you to Deborah Murphy for the beautiful singing and music.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.
