The family of the late Brendan Coughlan, Ballinowlart, Bracknagh, who passed away on the 27th of April, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who offered sympathy and support during our recent bereavement.
We are deeply grateful to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who called to the house, attended the wake, funeral Mass and burial, and who supported us emotionally and practically. Thank you to those who sent floral tributes, mass cards, messages of condolence, and to those who travelled long distances—your kindness will never be forgotten.
A special word of thanks to the doctors and nurses of the MediCentre Portarlington, Monasterevin Surgery, and Portarlington Pharmacy for their care over the years. Sincere thanks also to the staff of Tallaght and Portlaoise hospitals for the compassion shown in Brendan’s final weeks.
We would like to thank Fr. Greg Fr Pat Hughes and Tommy Carroll for the beautiful funeral Mass, and John Maher Funeral Directors for their professionalism and sensitivity. Our sincere thanks also to SuperValu, Centra Main Street, Dempsey’s Gala Portarlington and the Bracknagh Hall Committee for providing food and refreshments during those difficult days.
We are especially grateful to Ruth Crampton for the lovely music at the funeral Mass, offered at such short notice, and to Bracknagh GAA and Clonbullogue GAA for the touching guard of honour—Brendan would have been so proud.
To all who helped in any way, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Brendan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 31st May at 6pm in Bracknagh Church. All are welcome.
