Brendan’s wife Hendy, children Gary, Richard, Susan, Deirdre and Barney and all his extended family would like to extend their most sincere thanks for their friendship and many expressions of sympathy and support shown to them throughout their recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home and all those who attended Brendan’s Removal and Funeral Mass, especially those who travelled long distances. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, letters and texts, those who shared happy memories, kind and thoughtful words online and those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Brendan’s life via webcam.
Thanks also to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in Brendan’s memory;
Thank you to his medical team in Dublin, his GP and nurses in Arklow and all his very kind carers, including Geraldine & Robyn.
Special thanks to Fr. Michael Murphy for his comforting prayers & beautiful Funeral Mass, to the sacristy team at St. Joseph’s Church and to Lucy Carolan and Bridget Kenny for such lovely music.
To colleagues, neighbours and friends from Clifden and Arklow and beyond, old and new, your support and kindness will never be forgotten. To Brendan’s dear friends for Woodenbridge Golf Club, we thank you for your Guard of Honour.
Thanks also to the management and staff of the Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to the team at Mount Jerome Crematorium and to Niamh Sweeney and all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Brendan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 24th May at 7pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey.
Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam:
