CATHERINE O'DONOVAN

 CATHERINE O'DONOVAN
(née Russell)

Brookville Estate, Glanmire, Cork

As we lovingly remember Catherine on the First Anniversary of her death, we would like to sincerely thank all who attended the funeral mass and viewed online, lined the estate, stood outside church and at the graveyard, provided food, called, sent flowers, cards, mass cards, enrolments, letters, texts, and for the many kind messages left on RIP, we were truly touched and gained much comfort from them. Our heartfelt thanks also to Catherine’s great friends, neighbours, extended family and colleagues at St Stephens Hospital for all their help and support during her illness and beyond.

We acknowledge with gratitude all who cared for Catherine with kindness and compassion during her illness, GP Dr Carol O’Callaghan, the staff at Woodview Family Doctors and Pharmacy First Plus Glanmire, District Nurses, the Oncology Teams at the CUH and South Infirmary, the Palliative Care Team at Marymount and the Irish Cancer Society Night Nurse, Theresa Barrett.

Thank you to Father John Newman, Forde’s Funeral Home and the grave diggers at St Michael’s Cemetery for their help and support. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Missed and cherished always by her husband Joe, daughters Deirdre and Mary, brother Pat, grandsons Daniel and James, sons-in-law Kieran and John, extended family, dear friends, neighbours and colleagues.

Catherine’s First Anniversary mass will be held on Monday January 31st at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Springhill, Glanmire.

Those we hold closest never leave us,
They live on in the kindness they have shared
and the love they have brought into our lives.
