Charles Kennedy

 Charles Kennedy

Drumnakillew, Inver, Donegal

The family of the late Charles Kennedy would like to express their deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to everybody who supported us during our recent sad bereavement.

A special thanks to our neighbours, family and friends who lined the roads to the church and graveyard. To St. Naul's minors and underage girls and Naomh Ultan GAA clubs and also Inver Astroturf group for your guards of honour. This was very appreciated during the difficult period and Charles would have been very proud to see the turnout.

To all who sent flowers, Mass cards, letters of sympathy, messages of condolence and donations to the Oncology Unit at Letterkenny University Hospital from near and far, many thanks.

To the doctors and nurses in the Oncology Unit, all the staff at LUH and Millrow Family practice and the community palliative care team. Thank you for all of your care, kindness and support to Charles over the past year.

Thank you to Fr. Morty, Fr. Sweeney and Fr. Collum for the lovely meaningful Mass said for Charles' funeral. To Aileen Sweeney and Shaun Ryan for the beautiful music, also to St.Naul's Pipe Band for their moving tribute on the day and for escorting the funeral cortège from the church.

To all those, far and near, who streamed the Funeral Mass and rossaries via the Parish facebook page.

Thanks to the parking marshals at the church and graveyard and to Donegal Town Gardaí who managed the flow of traffic on the day of the funeral.

A final word of thanks to the funeral directors, Andrew and Eddie Gallagher, for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements throughout.

As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrafice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month's Mind Mass for Charles will be held at 7.30p.m. on Wednesday the 12th of May at St. Naul's Church, Ardaghey. Due to government and HSE guidelines, the Mass will be private to the family only, please. The Mass will be livestreamed on the St Naul's Parish Inver Facebook page at the following link:
