Charles McDonald

 Charles McDonald

Gurranabraher, Cork

As we lovingly remember Charles on the 1st Anniversary of his passing, 27th April, I, his wife Eileen, his children, Sonya, Darren and Aishling, grandchildren, Sons in law, Daughter in Law, Sister, Brother and extended family, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who supported us throughout the last year and for the many expressions of sympathy on Charles’ passing.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Mercy Hospital, Cork for the compassion and care they provided to Charles, especially in his final days.

A special word of thanks to Dr Nixon and the staff at Shandon Bells Medical Centre and Walsh’s Chemist, Shandon Street for their kindness and care shown to Charles over the years.

We would like to extend our thanks to O’Connor’s Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge for their compassionate guidance and professionalism.  Our deepest gratitude goes to Fr. Aidan, Deborah Murphy, Rory and all who contributed to the beautiful funeral mass in celebration of Charles’ life.

We are truly grateful to all those who attended the rosary prayer service, mass and burial and to everyone who travelled to be with us during this sad time.  We also thank those who sent floral tributes, mass cards and messages of sympathy.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful neighbours, relatives, friends and work colleagues who went above and beyond for us.  Your kindness and support has been invaluable and we will be forever grateful.

As it is impossible to mention everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our appreciation.  The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for all your intentions as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

Your life was love and labour

Your love for your family true,

You did your best for all of us

We will always remember you.

(Charles’ 1st Anniversary Mass will take place in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher on Sunday 27th April @ 11.30am)
