The family of the late Chris Galvin of Barndarrig, Co. Wicklow and formerly Duke Street, Athy, Co. Kildare, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to all the family, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support during this difficult time.  For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations to The Alzheimer’s Society, we are truly grateful. 

A special word of thanks to the staff of St. Laurence’s ward of St. Vincent’s University Hospital for their compassionate care of Chris during her final weeks, and the staff of Knockrobin Care home, Wicklow for their warmth, kindness and respect of Chris over the previous seven months. For all those who participated in the mass, especially Fr. Roche, the singer and musician and finally to Willie Doyle and the staff of Flannery’s Funeral Home for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.  As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Chris will be held on Saturday 24th June 2023 at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Church, Barndarrig, Co. Wicklow.  All Welcome.
