RUANE, CHRISSIE
College Road, Mountbellew, Co. Galway.
Chrissie’s sons and daughters, Joseph, David, Aoife, Paul and Mary Claire, her sister Frankie and her brother John and extended family wish to express sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us and supported, and continue to support us, on the loss of our mother.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well wishers who attended the home, the removal, the Funeral Mass, the burial, sent messages of sympathy, phoned, left voicemails, posted messages, sent mass-cards and sent floral tributes.
We’d like to thank Dr Jim Moore and Anne Marie Cunningham and staff , the staff of the Galway Clinic and the University College Hospital Galway. We’d also like to thank the families of other patients in the ICU who supported us during this period.
We’d like to thank the funeral directors, Gerry & Judy Collevy for their wonderful support and guidance. We would like to thank the Franciscan Agricultural College and in particular Brother Alphonsus during her removal. We would like to thank Fr Sweeney (Ballymacward) for receiving her remains at the college.
Sincere thanks to Fr Karl Burns for guiding and supporting us and for his meaningful Mass and consoling homily and to the co-concelebrants Fr Seamus Devitt (Esker), Fr Larry Ebuk (Glinsk), Canon Joe Fitzgerald (Ballygar) and Fr John McManus (Castlerea). Thanks to the mass servers and Ministers of the Eucharist.
A special thanks to Mountbellew Parish Choir for the beautiful hymns and Corina O’Sullivan for her lovely solo. Thanks to the various community groups who provided guards of honour. Thanks to the gravediggers for their hard-work in preparing Chrissie’s final resting place with such care. Thanks to those involved with the Fr Padraig O’Connor Pastoral Centre and thanks to Briggs for the catering.
A special thanks to Chrissie’s treasured neighbours and close friends who provided support and the wider community who extended huge generosity through many acts of kindness.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere and deep gratitude and appreciation.
A Mass had been offered for your intentions. Chrissie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Mountbellew on Sunday, December 17th at 11 a.m.
