Christy passed away on Sunday, 10th July in our Lady of Fatima Hospital, Clifden, Co. Galway.
Our sincere thanks for all the messages of sympathy received by phone, text, Mass Cards and RIP.ie. We are very grateful to all who made donations to the Galway Hospice. Thank you to Christy’s neighbours and friends for their kindness and support during Christy’s hospital and nursing home stay.
We are grateful to the nursing staff of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for their kindness to and care of Christy.
Thank you to Fr. James Ronayne for officiating at Christy’s funeral Mass and burial and to John Conneely for his offering of prayers in Lehid on Wednesday evening, 13th July and for his prayerful receiving of Christy’s remains into Ballyconneely Church on Thursday, 14th July. Thank you, too, to the Choir who sang so beautifully during Christy’s Mass.
A sincere thank you to Bartley Conroy, Funeral Undertaker, for his professionalism and attention to detail and for live streaming the funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to those who, with their ponies, led Christy on his final journey to the cemetery. We thank the gravediggers who prepared Christy’s final resting place and all who closed the grave in the traditional way.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.
Month’s Mind Mass
will take place on Sunday, 7th August, at 10.00 am in Ballyconneely Church.
