CIAN GALLAGHER
Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
As we lovingly remember Cian (late of Dublin and Brandon, Kerry) on his 1st Anniversary on the 10th November, we his parents Brian and Mary, brothers Alan, Bryan and Shane, Cian’s partner Lana and extended family would like to offer our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our family, friends, Cian’s friends and our neighbours who during our darkest days and our heartbreaking loss provided us with endless support and kindness.
We also wish to thank the ambulance service, the Gardai, and the staff of Cork University Hospital for their professionalism and support. A special thanks is extended to the dedicated nurses and doctors of the Intensive Care Unit. To the organ donation team, thank you for your compassion, respect and support shown to Cian and to us as his family.
Our thanks to Father Brendan Walsh, Father Eamon Mulvihill, Paddy O’Neill, Mike Guerrin and all those who helped in any way making Cian’s funeral Mass so special.
To Sean Lynch, funeral director, and staff we would like to say a special thanks for the support, empathy and respect shown to us as a family during a very difficult time.
To all who attended Cian’s removal and funeral mass, especially those who travelled long distances or came from abroad, you will never know how much it meant to us. The mass cards, condolences, letters and heartfelt messages of sympathy, support and love which we have received has been a great source of support to us. We were particularly touched by Cian’s friends and past school friends who attended in large numbers and formed a guard of honour at the church.
To the Carmelite Community in Waterford and the many people in Tallow, Waterford, who had masses said, organised a candlelight vigil, sent messages, cards and letters we deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness and support.
A special word of thanks to our wonderful friends and neighbours in Brandon. You are the very definition of community, and we will be forever grateful for all your ongoing support and kindness.
We would like to be able to thank everyone in person, but as this is not possible, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and the Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.
Cians first anniversary mass will take place in St Brendan's Church, Cloghane at 11am on Saturday 11th November 2023.
Forever in our hearts
