Although you left 33 years ago, not once throughout the years

Not even for one moment, do I forget that you're not here 

Not here to share a cosy chat, or give me your advice

Or ask about the things I've planned, or if my day was nice 

That's why life doesn't seem the same, for when yours had to end 

Not only did I lose my Ma, I lost my very best friend 

They say it gets easier with time, but ma that's just not true

For every hour of every day, my heart still breaks for you.
