Died January 15th 2023.
The family of the late Colm Mullarkey is sincerely grateful to everyone who provided support and comfort during our time of great sorrow.
Thank you to those who attended the funeral, in person and virtually. And to all who visited our home, sent condolences, cards, and flowers, made charitable donations, and were with us in spirit, we are truly grateful.
A very special mention to the Tubbercurry GAA club and the wider community who formed a guard of honour and accompanied Colm on his final journey. And sincere thanks to all Colm’s friends, former colleagues, neighbours, and those who participated in the funeral Mass.
A heartfelt thank you to the local businesses and everyone who stood along the funeral route and the Gardaí who managed the traffic flow; your kind and thoughtful support reflected the sense of community Colm treasured.
To Fr. Vincent Sherlock, chief celebrant of Colm’s funeral mass, and his concelebrants, Fr. Gallagher, and Fr. Marren, we thank you for your compassionate and consoling words. Also, thank you to the church choir; your music and song provided solace to our grief.
Thank you to Alan T. Stanislawski - Smith, Florist, for creating beautiful floral arrangements, and to Teresa and Pierre, Cawley’s Hotel, for the warm hospitality extended to family, friends, and neighbours.
Thank you to Dr. Coleman, and Elizabeth and the staff of Brett’s Pharmacy for the compassionate support you provided Colm over the years. Also, thank you to the healthcare professionals of Sligo University Hospital, Fr. Brian Conlon, the chaplaincy team, and the palliative care team of North West Hospice, who cared for Colm in his final days.
A sincere thank you to John Brennan, Undertaker, for the professional and respectful care of Colm’s funeral arrangements and his final resting place. And for the gracious support and comfort you provided to us all.
Colm was blessed to live a long, happy life and to share it with wonderful friends, neighbours, and community. So many people helped in so many ways during our time of sadness; it’s impossible to extend individual thanks for genuine acts of kindness, but we hope this acknowledgment is accepted as an expression of our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your private intentions in St. John the Evangelist Church, Tubbercurry, on Sunday, May 28th, at 11:30 AM.
Colm is missed every day and lovingly remembered.
