Dan’s wife Lily, daughter Nicola, sons Ray & Keith, brother Peter, along with all of Dan’s extended family would like to thank most sincerely all those that sympathised with us on our recent sad loss of Dan, and who provided emotional and practical support to us in our time of need.

 

To our extended family, friends and neighbours who visited our home, sent mass cards, shared kind messages online and gave donations in Dan’s memory, we offer our heartfelt thanks.

 

We extend a special word of thanks to the following for the care, dignity and compassion shown to Dan and our family during Dan’s illness – Lisa & the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team; Dr Paula Greally and the staff of Tyndall Clinic; medical teams in the Hermitage and St Luke’s Hospitals; Catherine, Deirdre and all of Dan’s carers; Carlow HSE primary healthcare nursing staff; Orlagh & team at Whites Pharmacy.

 

We would also like to most sincerely thank Fr Tom Little for a very moving funeral Mass, and Michael English for the beautiful music and singing, along with readers, altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers, pallbearers and sacristan.  To Pat & Carmel for the lovely floral arrangements. 

 

To Rory and Eoin at R. Healy & Son Funeral Directors, a heartfelt thank you for your invaluable help and professionalism throughout all the arrangements.

 

And to all who travelled to attend Dan’s wake, funeral mass and burial in such large numbers, your sympathy and kindness will long be remembered.

 

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s gratitude.  A mass will be offered for all your intentions.

 

Memories are a gift to treasure;

Sunday, 9th February 2025 at 12.00pm in Holy Family Church, Askea, Carlow.
