The family of Declan Nannery would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement. We offer heartfelt thanks to all the family, friends and neighbours who offered us such great emotional and practical support in our sad loss. We are forever grateful to all those who looked after Declan during his illness: the ambulance crews and paramedics, the staff of Drogheda and Beaumont hospitals, our G.P., public health nurse, Meath palliative care team and Declan's carers. We thank all those who travelled long distances, visited our home and attended Declan's wake, funeral mass and burial. We thank the many people who sent us their condolences, those who sent messages of sympathy and Mass cards, and those who sent flowers or made a donation in Declan's memory. We thank all those who participated in Declan's Funeral Mass, the celebrant Fr.Robert McCabe and the musicians who played and sang so beautifully. We are very grateful to all Declan's friends in Navan Cougars Basketball Club for their guard of honour. We thank our funeral directors for their sensitivity and professionalism in handling all the arrangements, and to all those who helped manage the flow of traffic during the wake and Funeral. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
