 Declan O'KELLY Jnr

Bunaterin, Screggan, Tullamore, Offaly

On the 1st Anniversary since the passing of Declan O’Kelly JR, his wife Alison, his sons Ciaran and Harry, parents Mary and Declan Sr, brother Ian, his wife Mary, sister Siobhan her partner Dixie, his sister Dolores and husband Chris, his mother-in-law Mary, sisters in law Sorcha, her husband Michael, Beckie and her wife Ramona, nieces and nephews and all our close friends.

We would like to thank all of those who showed their support and care during a very difficult time.

For all those who called to the house, helped with parking, offered food and refreshments, attended the funeral and wake, sent cards, flowers and letters of sympathy. Thanks to all who expressed their condolences through RIP.ie and social media. To Declan’s friends of whom there are far too many to mention individually.  Work colleagues Pat Howley, Trevor Kane and Jim Doolan and all our neighbours, your continued support is greatly appreciated.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all at The Avenue Clinic, especially Dr Marie Nangle and Dr Peter Kearney who looked after Declan so well.

Our thanks to all the doctors, nurses and healthcare workers at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, Beaumont Hospital and St Luke’s Rathgar, who took such great care of Declan. To Kelsey, Michael and Marie for all the laughs you gave Declan whilst giving him such a high level of care, we are forever in your debt.

To all the wonderful people in Dóchas Tullamore, who provided such a vital service to Declan and his family, thank you for everything.

To Rose Finlay Pharmacy, to Gemma and all the Palliative Care Team, night nurses and Dr Cushen who made Declan as comfortable as they could in his final hours, their kindness and professionalism shown to the family is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for Fr Martin Carly and Fr Frank Guinan who performed Declan’s funeral Mass.

For those who participated in the funeral Mass and to Joe Wynn on his beautiful singing.

We would like to thank Phil O’Reilly Jr and everyone at O’Reilly’s undertakers for the sensitive and professional handling of arrangements and thoughtfulness and compassionate care shown to our family at this difficult time.

Thank you those who helped with the grave digging.

Whilst we would like to thank everyone individually, this would not be possible to do, so please accept this acknowledgment of our deep-felt thanks and appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

Declan’s First anniversary Mass will take place on Sunday, 4th June 2023, at 12pm  in St Colman's Church, Mucklagh.

Love always and forever

Alison, Ciaran and Harry.
