Declan’s wife Margaret, sons Paul & Ian, daughters Lynn Ann & Gillian, his brothers, sister & all his family wish to express a most sincere thank you for the comfort & support shown to them throughout this most difficult time.

Thank you to all those who visited the funeral home, attended Declan’s funeral Mass & burial, those who sent cards & letters, to those who shared kind messages & happy memories online & to those who donated generously to www.parkinsons.ie in Declan’s honour.

To all those who travelled long distances, to our own extended families, our colleagues, neighbours & friends & to Declan’s many friends, old & new, your kindness & generosity of spirit will never be forgotten.

Special thanks to all those who assisted in caring for Declan with comfort & dignity in his own home, to the doctors, nurses & all the crew at Sheltonville Surgery, to the wonderful staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital & to John Quinn & his team at Avoca Pharmacy.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr David Brough for his beautiful funeral Mass, to Declan’s talented nephew Stephen Walker for his fabulous singing & to Bridget Kenny for her accompaniment.

Thanks also to the Hoey family & their staff of The Bridge Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral, Joe & Tom from R.S.S. for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

Declan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 12th November at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the parish webcam
