Second Anniversary 

In loving of my dear husband Denis, whose Second Anniversary occurs today, 22nd February 2025

 

Every time I look at the stars

I know that's where you'll be

Shining like you always do

And watching over me

Although the pain I'm feeling

Is with me every day

The love you left inside my heart 

Will never go away 

Life goes on without you

But it will never be the same

And if I had my time once more

I'd do it all again

So when my days are darkest

And I just can't see the light

I'll look up at the brightest star

And you'll be shining bright.

God called your name so softly 

That only you could hear

And no one heard the footsteps 

Of Angels drawing near 

The golden gates stood open

God saw you needed rest

His garden must be beautiful 

He only takes the best.

The bond we had together
