15th April 2023 on his First Anniversary
As we lovingly remember Denis on his first anniversary, we his family wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the support and kindness shown to us during our very sad loss. A sincere thank you to all our extended family, our great neighbours and friends who supported and helped us throughout a very difficult time. Your presence, Mass cards, enrolments, letters, phone calls and online condolences meant so much and brought us great comfort during this heartbreaking time. We will be forever grateful to you all.
Our heartfelt appreciation to all of those who participated in Denis’ funeral Mass, which was concelebrated by our cousin Fr. Donal and Monsignor O’Donnell, both who had spent precious time with Denis, shared songs and prayers and had showed him so much kindness, especially at the end. Thanks to Fitzgerald funeral directors and their staff for their support, advice and professionalism.
Our sincere gratitude to the health care workers, nurses and doctors who cared for Denis during his illness, in particular those in Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Denis during his final weeks.
A special thanks to Denis’ wonderful friends at the Muskerry Vintage Club who arranged a guard of honour at the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
The holy sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
Always loved, remembered and dearly missed by all his family.
Denis’ first anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 16th April, at 11.30am in St. Colman’s Church, Macroom.
